Custom normalized comparison rules

Rules affect only the comparison result. They do not prove that two URLs resolve to the same page or redirect.

Compare URL structure without opening either link

Use this tool to review redirect targets, campaign links, API routes, documentation links, e-commerce variants, or two versions of a shared URL. Comparison happens locally in your browser. The page never sends a request to the URLs you paste, so it cannot test page availability, redirects, canonicals, robots directives, or content.

Exact, structural, and normalized URL comparison

Exact raw mode is useful when every character matters. Structural mode parses the protocol, user info, host, port, path, query string, and fragment. Custom normalized mode lets you ignore carefully chosen differences such as tracking parameters, a trailing slash, query order, or www.

Query parameters, UTM tags, and repeated values

Query strings often carry campaign attribution, filters, pagination, API options, and session information. The table keeps repeated parameters visible instead of silently dropping them. Common UTM and click identifiers can be ignored for a focused comparison, while the UTM note remains an inspection aid rather than marketing validation.

Relative URLs, local hosts, and international domains

For relative paths, provide a base URL to resolve the path locally. Absolute URLs, protocol-less hosts, localhost addresses, IP addresses, IPv6 hosts, and internationalized domain names can be parsed when they are syntactically valid. The tool does not decide whether a host is publicly reachable.

Privacy and sensitive values

Do not paste secrets unless you need to inspect them locally. Sensitive-looking parameter values are masked in exports by default, and a password in a URL is never rendered in full. Clear Both, refreshing, or closing the tab clears the in-page values unless you choose to export a report.

What a URL match does and does not mean

A custom match means the parsed values match under rules you selected. It does not mean the URLs serve the same content, have the same redirect destination, use the same canonical URL, or behave identically for logged-in users, devices, regions, or servers.

Are the URLs I paste visited or sent to a server?

No. The tool only parses and compares the characters you paste in this browser. It does not open, fetch, crawl, or download either URL.

What is the difference between exact and structural comparison?

Exact comparison checks the URL text character for character. Structural comparison checks parsed URL parts such as the host, path, query parameters, and fragment.

Can I ignore UTM parameters?

Yes. Custom normalized mode can ignore common tracking parameters such as utm_source, utm_medium, gclid, and fbclid, while preserving repeated non-tracking parameters.

Can I compare relative URLs?

Yes. Enter a valid base URL when comparing paths such as /pricing?plan=team or ../docs/getting-started.

Does a match mean both URLs are the same page?

No. A structural or normalized match only means the selected URL components match under your rules. Redirects, server behavior, canonical tags, and page content are not checked.

Are sensitive query parameters protected in exports?

Sensitive-looking parameter values, such as token, key, password, and signature, are masked in reports by default. URL passwords are never shown in full.

Can repeated query parameters be compared?

Yes. Repeated parameters are preserved and counted. They are not silently converted into a single value.

Does the tool validate whether a website exists?

No. It validates URL syntax only. It never makes a network request, so it cannot confirm whether a host, page, redirect, or API endpoint exists.
